We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Asphalt Laborer to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our construction projects.

Your Role: Enhancing Construction Operations

As an Asphalt Laborer at Emery Sapp & Sons, you will be instrumental in supporting various aspects of our construction projects. From loading and unloading materials to operating hand and power tools, your hands-on involvement will contribute to the success of each project. Your commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with site supervisors and construction staff are key components of your role.

Responsibilities

• General Construction Tasks: Assist with loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, and operating hand and power tools to contribute to the progress of construction projects.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with site supervisors and construction staff to ensure the success of each project, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
• Innovation: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices, bringing forward ideas and suggestions for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, showcasing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic construction environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction or a related industry is preferred.
• Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team's success.
• Physical Ability: Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in various weather conditions.
• Skills: Basic math and measurement skills, along with the ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
